About the Event
The San Diego Federal Bar Association and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California are pleased to present the Nineteenth Annual Judith N. Keep Federal Practice Seminar. The annual seminar is dedicated to the memory of former U.S. District Judge Judith N. Keep, who served as a District Judge in the Southern District of California for over twenty years and as the District's first female Chief Judge from 1991 to 1998.
This year’s seminar will feature welcome remarks, a special video tribute featuring Hon. Ruben B. Brooks (Ret.), and panel presentations by several Southern District of California District Judges and Magistrate Judges. The panels will focus on various aspects of pretrial and trial practice, including effective use of evidence, success with the Magistrate Judges, lesser-known strategies in federal court, and meeting the new District Judges.
