A Timeless Reflection on Law Day

In honor of Law Day on May 1, the Federal Bar Association - San Diego Chapter is pleased to share the following article from the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia titled "Celebrating Laws, Rights, Courts." Though initially published in 1992, its message is timeless. It reminds us of "our responsibility as citizens and the principles of our democratic government." The FBA, San Diego Chapter thanks Judge Battaglia—then as now—for his enduring contributions to the bench and rule of law. 

We hope you will join us, together with the San Diego County Bar Association and other legal organizations, in celebrating Law Day on May 1 and in sharing the principles of our legal system and the workings of the courts with members of your community.
