On April 5, 2022, the San Diego FBA presented Part 2 of its Two-Part Criminal Legal Skills Series: Sentencing. The panelists discussed various aspects of sentencing, including judge’s preferences, best practices for practitioners, minor role, and safety valve.
Hector Tamayo, the Chapter’s Vice President of Fundraising, moderated the discussion among the panelists, which included the Hon. Todd W. Robinson, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of California; J’Me Forrest, U.S. Attorney’s Office; and Leila Morgan, Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc.
The written materials are available here. A recording of the webinar is available on the San Diego FBA’s MCLE on demand page.
The San Diego FBA thanks the panelists for volunteering their time and sharing their expertise with the community. The San Diego FBA also thanks Chapter President Dylan Aste, Vice President of Legal Education Kim Gregg, and the members of the legal education committee—Vivian Sapthavee, Leah Gonzales, Elana Fogel, Ben Cheeks, and Zandra Lopez—for organizing this event.
