You are invited to attend the Grand Opening of the “Portraits of Justice” Courtroom Sketch Art Exhibit in the Edward J. Schwartz U.S. Courthouse on Thursday, January 23rd at 4pm in Courtroom 4D. This exhibit was curated by local courtroom artist Krentz Johnson. Ms. Johnson has created an exhibit introducing the history of courtroom and sketch art from medieval times through the golden era of courtroom art in the 1970s and 1980s. She has included images of the judges of the Southern District of California, as well as national high-profile cases. Ms. Johnson will lead a panel of courtroom sketch artists, many whose work is showcased in the exhibit, followed by a reception outside Courtroom 4D.
