Trivia: Which San Diego County hotel is one of the largest wooden structures in the United States?
Rule 16 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure is changing. U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Battaglia explains that these amendments address two "shortcomings" in the current disclosure practice for expert witnesses. And he shares that under these amendments, counsel will have to produce written disclosures covering any expert testimony to be used in either side's case-in-chief or the government's rebuttal case.

The Southern District announced it is considering the appointment of two full-time U.S. Magistrate Judges, contingent upon changes to the Court's bench. Applications are due December 1, 2022.
The Ninth Circuit is seeking applications for a Bankruptcy Judgeship in the Southern District. The term for this position is fourteen years with a possible renewal.

Enrollment is open for a new class of participants in the FBA's Lift Up Leaders Mentorship Program. The program is designed to offer something for all levels of experience.
