On June 15, 2022, the San Diego FBA held a Virtual Courtroom Conversation with U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Major. In addition to discussing her path to the federal bench and her experience as a magistrate judge, Judge Major discussed consenting to magistrate judge jurisdiction. This program also included comments from Judge Major's courtroom deputy and one of her law clerks regarding navigating criminal and civil matters in Judge Major's courtroom. The Judge also answered questions from practitioners. The San Diego FBA thanks Judge Major, her Courtroom Deputy, and her law clerk for generously sharing their time and advice.
